The season begins with an out-of-this-world performance. Pianist Kenny Broberg, 2017 Van Cliburn Competition silver medalist, displays the beauty of the Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The second half of the concert will feature Gustav Holst’s The Planets, complete with NASA space footage.

On April 30, 2022, award-winning, charismatic and immensely talented Drew Petersen takes the stage to perform Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto, considered by many to be the world’s favorite piano concerto. The concert opens with a favorite work composed by Dan Powers, the THSO’s composer-in-residence, and concludes with Brahms’ astonishingly powerful first symphony.
